Celtic designs reflect life to me. A never ending pattern of twists and turns bearing many shapes and forms. Like each of us change daily, to what appearance we choose. Never knowing which direction that path leads for it crosses so many other channels giving space to breathe before the next direction. Experiencing being exhalted (as you climb over) to being humble (as you ride under) and so life, keeps on revolving on and on....
Even though these are carved from MDF, they still can be treated and textured with stone paint, etc.
There are endless patterns which you can choose. Hand carving can be fun but also involves much patience. Visit my carving page to see how you can make some designs.
 
You can use wood to do these intricate designs - but remember the harder the wood the more patience you would need!
