David
and Lynne met in June 2003 and were brought together by their mutual
love of all things Celtic. Their projects in the past had been solitary
and unsupported. Now their creativity feeds off each other - each receiving
the support and encouragement to take their
dreams - shared dreams - and turn them into reality.

| Australian born, David came to England in 1966 (when he was but a lad), finished school and set about studying graphics at Derby College of Art and Technology. It didn't take too long to discover that in the world of commercial art pretentious clap-trap was more important than creativity. After a couple of years in the bar he gave up, vowing that if he was going to be creative he'd do it for himself rather than to a given brief. Years were spent in the creative wilderness of marriages and safe but unexciting regular employment. When freedom and independence were regained in 2002 David once more took up the proverbial paint brush. He has a dream - to be able to live off the art he has created for himself and escape the 9 to 5 routine of the day job. Every print you buy takes him one step nearer! | Lynne was born in Newcastle, but has lived most of her life in East Anglia. After leaving school she studied useful subjects, such as commerce and banking but her love of crafts and interests out grew, soon to return to college to study Art. Later she began to reading Celtic history, traditions and explored all forms of Celtic art. These celtic knot techniques encouraged her to experiment with lino cutting for prints which then led to more intricate work with carvings, making moulds and plaster castings. Family, work and time constrants restricted her production of creativity, but the idea of a commercial enterprise selling her products had been sewn. Years later after intense training on web design and working as a newsletter editor Lynne once again had taken up the challenge of reproducing Celtic Knot carvings. To view Lynne's personal site click on her photo and you will discover more of her creative abilities and also the techniques on how to make your own celtic knots carvings. | |||
